Christian Andrew, a 2018 student of ITS Information Technology Department, managed to record a proud achievement by becoming the 2nd winner in the Huawei ICT Competition 2019 Routing & Switching. This competition is conducted offline at D.I. Yogyakarta by testing participant’s competence in configuring the network through a virtual program. In this competition, participants perform laboratory configuration for 3 hours. The participants of this competition must compete in terms of the speed of success in conducting network configurations.
Christian Andrew’s achievements for ITS didn’t stop at the Huawei ICT Competition 2019 Routing & Switching, but he was also successfully selected as one of the 10 Indonesian delegates for the 2019 Huawei Seeds for the Future Program. The 2019 Huawei Seeds for the Future Program is a study trip program with the aim that the delegates in this program gain insight into work experience at Huawei’s China Headquarters, ICT training, learn 5G network and technology solutions, and get an opportunity to learn Mandarin and cross-cultural work experiences. This program was held in two cities in China, namely Beijing and Shenzhen.
“Huawei’s competition is very useful for the future and can be a determining factor to differentiate ourselves from others when it comes to job interviews or scholarships”, said Christian Andrew.
