"To date, the Department of Interior Design at ITS has furnished comprehensive educational resources pertaining to faculty expertise, on-site facilities, and networking opportunities. A faculty cohort comprising 14 members is readily available. Students, in their quest for knowledge, have access to three specialized laboratories tailored to the respective course disciplines. Within the department, three distinct laboratories and research domains are established: the Laboratory of Interior Behavior and Environment, the Interior Science Laboratory, and the Laboratory of Aesthetics and Culture."
This laboratory develops and researches the relationship between humans (as occupants of interior spaces) and the interior design within which they reside. The research focuses on the mutual relationship and human adaptation to their interior environments. Laboratorium ini mengembangkan dan meneliti perkembangan estetika, transformasi budaya, dan metode desain interior. Kekayaan budaya di nusantara yang melimpah menjadikan luasnya kegiatan riset pada laboratorium ini. This laboratory develops and researches advancements in building technology and interior environmental science. The research progress focuses on three fundamental pillars of interior science: lighting, acoustics, and thermal conditions within interiors.
