The Rector of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Bambang Pramujati, has officially ratified the appointment of elite faculty members as recipients of the 2025 Matchmaking Research Grant under the Enhancing Quality Education for International University Impacts and Recognition (EQUITY) World Class University (WCU) program. This strategic initiative serves as a catalyst for high-level academic diplomacy, designed to support the vision of ITS as a globally recognized institution by fostering intensive research integration with distinguished international scholars. By bridging local expertise with international research infrastructures, ITS reinforces its trajectory toward global excellence while ensuring that institutional research outputs generate tangible solutions for complex global issues.
The mobilization of academic talent for this program includes Prof. Subchan, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics, who will collaborate with Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, and Dr. Triyanda Gunawan, S.Si. from the Department of Chemistry, partnering with the Shibaura Institute of Technology in Japan and the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science & Technology (DGIST) in South Korea. Furthermore, Dr.rer.nat. Arif Luqman, S.Si., M.T. from the Department of Biology will conduct research at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen in Germany. These appointments represent a profound commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable quality education through the advancement of specialized knowledge and high-impact research environments.
In the field of engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. Imam Robandi, M.T., IPU. from the Department of Electrical Engineering is set to collaborate with the University of Wollongong in Australia. Simultaneously, Dr. Anak Agung Ngurah Satria Damar Negara, S.T., M.T. from the Department of Civil Engineering will engage with IHE Delft and the University of Twente in the Netherlands.
