An industrial visit by PT Riken Pakarti to the Manufacturing Systems Laboratory, Department of Systems and Industrial Engineering, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), was officially held as an effort to strengthen the relationship between industry and educational institutions. This activity was designed to directly introduce learning activities and laboratory facilities that support competency development in the field of manufacturing systems. Through this visit, it is hoped that a mutually supportive collaboration will be established between educational development and industry needs.
The industrial visit took place on Monday, December 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM WIB, with the main agenda being a discussion and review of activities in the Manufacturing Systems Laboratory. During this opportunity, representatives from PT Riken Pakarti directly discussed the implementation of the Toyota Production System (TPS) simulation practicum as well as various other learning and research activities conducted in the laboratory. This activity provided a concrete illustration of the application of manufacturing systems concepts in an academic environment.
This industrial visit is expected to foster a shared understanding between industry and educational institutions regarding competency needs in the manufacturing field. In addition to strengthening cooperative relationships, this activity also opens up opportunities for the development of future collaborative programs. Thus, this industrial visit is a strategic step in supporting the strengthening of synergy between the ITS DTSI Manufacturing Systems Laboratory and the industrial world to create superior human resources that are relevant to industrial needs.
