Geophysical Engineering is an engineering science that studies structures beneath the earth's surface. The field of Geophysics is a combination of the basic sciences of Physics, Mathematics and Geology, which are supported by Instrumentation and computing. The ITS Geophysical Engineering Department has research fields including Oil and Gas Exploration, Geothermal, Economic Mining or Mineral Materials, Natural Disaster Mitigation and Near surface geophysics (geophysics near the surface) which are the characteristics of the ITS Geophysical Engineering Department.
