The Department of Statistics, Faculty of Science and Data Analytics, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), is pleased to announce the opening of admissions for the Master’s Program (S2) in Statistics. The program is designed to develop advanced competencies in statistics and data science with a computational approach, supporting applications in various sectors such as business, industry, economics, finance, social development, environment, and health.
The Master’s Program in Statistics at ITS offers a study load of 38 credits that can be completed within four semesters. The curriculum consists of 32 credits of compulsory courses and 6 credits of elective courses, providing students with a balanced foundation in statistical theory, data analysis, and applied research.
The program has received “Unggul” (Excellent) accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) and also holds international accreditation from ASIIN, reflecting the program’s academic quality and international recognition.
The department is supported by several research laboratories, including the Laboratory of Computational Statistics and Data Science, Business and Industrial Data Analytics Laboratory, Social Data Analytics and Official Statistics Laboratory, Environmental and Health Statistics Laboratory, and Economic and Financial Data Analytics Laboratory.
Applicants are required to hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.00 from an accredited study program. In addition, applicants should possess an English proficiency certificate equivalent to TOEFL score of at least 477 and a TPA/TPKA score of at least 477, along with two recommendation letters and a proposed research topic submitted during the online registration process.
