In order to strengthen the ecosystem and increase the inclusion of the national sharia economy and finance, four (4) national strategic programs were launched, one of which is the halal traceability program.

Telusur dan Pantau Halal Indonesia (TERATAI) is a pilot project initiated by a lecturer at the Information Systems Department (DSI) of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Prof. Nur Aini Rakhmawati MScEng PhD to become a halal traceability system in Indonesia.

“This pilot project is an important milestone in efforts to improve transparency and safety of halal food in Indonesia,” added Nur Aini.

Furthermore, ITS Vice Rector II Dr. Machsus ST MT emphasized that TERATAI presents an innovative solution that uses a web platform to facilitate the tracing of meat ingredients, especially beef, from the farm to the consumer’s table, creating a “farm to table” system that can be trusted.
