Melihat hal tersebut, tiga mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) merancang pemodelan kecerdasan buatan atau yang dikenal dengan <em>Artificial Intelligent<\/em> (AI) untuk memfasilitasi pengolahan limbah yang lebih efisien dan ramah lingkungan pada industri migas.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Mereka adalah Fitria Kusumaningrum, Citra Annisaa Nurul Ain, Nuzulul Syaqawati Azzahra yang tergabung dalam sebuah tim bernama UCiFi. Ketiganya merupakan mahasiswa S1 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tfisika\/id\/beranda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Departemen Teknik Fisika<\/a>, Fakultas Teknologi Industri dan Rekayasa Sistem (FTI-RS) ITS. Mereka menginovasikan pemanfaatan Kecerdasan Buatan berupa <em>Artificial Neural Network<\/em> (ANN) untuk memprediksi keakuratan kadar <em>Chemical Oxygen Demand<\/em> (COD) yang terkandung dalam limbah industri minyak dan gas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Selaku ketua tim, Nuzulul Syaqawati Azzahra mengatakan, limbah yang dihasilkan industri migas berupa <em>produced water<\/em>. Hasil dari kegiatan eksplorasi minyak tersebut mengandung polutan, antara lain H2S (Hidrogen Sulfida), minyak dan lemak, NH3 (Ammounium), dan COD. \u201cKadar polutan tersebut melebihi baku mutu, sehingga kadar polutan harus dikurangi terlebih dahulu sebelum dialirkan kembali ke alam,\u201d papar gadis yang kerap disapa Ulul ini.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Salah satu anggota tim, Fitria Kusumaningrum menjelaskan bahwa salah satu cara untuk menurunkan kadar polutan adalah dengan menggunakan <em>polishing unit<\/em>. Ia juga mengatakan, selain model ANN sebagai prediktor, perlu diterapkan teknik optimasi untuk mendukung hasil COD yang minimal.
