Dr. Hasanudin and a team of researchers from ITS's Faculty of Marine Technology have built an unmanned boat designed to collect waste and tackle microplastic pollution along coastal areas. The boat is built to be simple and easy to operate, with remote-control capability that makes cleaning up waterways more efficient. The innovation reflects ITS's ongoing efforts to develop technology that protects marine ecosystems.

The ITS contingent secured a spot in the national top four at the 2026 National Mathematics and Science Olympiad for Higher Education (ONMIPA-PT), marking its best performance since first participating in the event. ITS earned two gold medals, one silver medal, two bronze medals, and two honorable mentions in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Congratulations, everyone!
