{"id":25288,"date":"2017-04-02T09:36:21","date_gmt":"2017-04-02T09:36:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/2017\/04\/02\/ini-peran-fti-dalam-industri-geothermal\/"},"modified":"2017-04-02T09:36:21","modified_gmt":"2017-04-02T09:36:21","slug":"ini-peran-fti-dalam-industri-geothermal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/news\/ini-peran-fti-dalam-industri-geothermal\/","title":{"rendered":"Ini Peran FTI Dalam Industri Geothermal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pria kelahiran 1965 ini menjelaskan, industri <em>geothermal <\/em>terdiri dari eksplorasi dan eksploitasi. &nbsp;Pihak eksplorasi bertanggung jawab menemukan lokasi yang tepat untuk membangun PLTG, sedangkan pihak eksploitasi bertanggung jawab terhadap permesinan seperti turbin, generator dan sebagainya.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam hal ini, Prabowo mengungkapkan bahwa lulusan FTI bertanggung jawab pada bagian eksploitasi dalam hal permesinan. &quot;Bagian eksplorasi titik-titik panas bumi diserahkan pada Departemen Geologi, Geomatika atau Geofisika. Kita fokus saja mengoptimalkan kerja mesin,&quot; tutur Dosen Departemen Teknik Mesin ini. <\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, Prabowo memberikan contoh dengan menceritakan pengalamannya saat mengamati PLTG di Kamojang. Menurutnya, ada celah yang dapat diperbaiki untuk meningkatkan efisiensi PLTG. &quot;Kami mengamati, terdapat gas sisa dengan tekanan sekitar tiga bar yang hanya dibiarkan terbuang ke atmosfer. Alasannya, tekanan sekecil itu tidak cukup kuat untuk memutar turbin yang menggerakan generator,&quot; tutur alumni Universitas Hiroshima ini.<\/p>\n<p>Padahal sebenarnya gas buang tersebut masih dapat dimanfaatkan dengan sistem <em>organic rankine cycle<\/em> (ORC). Sistem ORC bekerja dengan empat komponen utama yaitu evaporator, turbin, kondensor, dan pompa. Evaporator berfungsi untuk menguapkan air agar bisa menggerakan turbin.<\/p>\n<p>Prabowo menambahkan, saat ini metode ORC tengah digodok oleh salah satu laboratorium di Departemen Teknik Mesin ITS untuk diterapkan dalam Industri. &quot;Sejauh ini kami berhasil mencapai angka 10 KW dengan fluida masukan berupa air dengan suhu 90 sampai 100 derajat <em>celcius<\/em>,&quot; terang Kepala Prodi Pascasarjana ITS ini.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut Prabowo, jika dengan suhu 90 derajat <em>celcius<\/em> saja sistem ini terbukti efektif, apalagi bila menggunakan fluida masukan berupa gas buang pada industri PLTG yang masih mengandung cukup banyak panas. &quot;Tentunya akan lebih efektif,&quot; pungkasnya.(qi\/ven)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Satu disiplin ilmu tidak akan cukup untuk membangun sistem pembangkit listrik tenaga geothermal (PLTG) yang baik.
