Diskusi panel dibuka dengan pemaparan visi misi masing-masing. Kedua kandidat presiden, Wildan Hilmi ZA dan Mukhlis Ndoyo Said tampak serius dan bersemangat. <\/p>\n

Mengusung tagline <\/em>gotong royong, Wildan coba membawakan nuansa pergerakan mahasiswa yang bersama-sama untuk mewujudkan KM ITS yang bersatu. "Tujuannya supaya kaum grassroot <\/em>yang masih kurang peduli akan KM ITS dapat berpartisipasi tanpa adanya tekanan, begitu pula dengan untuk kalangan elit, akan diadakan kabinet bersama KM ITS," jelas Wildan dalam orasinya.<\/div>\n

Cara yang akan ditempuh Mahasiswa Teknik Sistem Perkapalan ini terlihat cukup sederhana. Salah satunya adalah menggelar acara cangkrukan arek ITS. "Saya percaya dari acara itu bisa ikut menghilangkan perbedaan dan juga bisa lebih akrab, sehingga nantinya timbul rasa gotong royong antar satu sama lain," lanjut Wildan.<\/div>\n

Sementara itu, mendapat kesempatan nomer dua, Mukhlis Said memaparkan visi misinya. Jika Wildan mengusung tagline <\/em>gotong royong, maka Mukhlis tak kalah dengan tagline <\/em>andalannya muda bersahabat. Ia pun berinisiatif untuk mengajak sobat muda KM ITS untuk bisa ikut peduli dan berkontribusi tidak hanya dalam lingkup Kampus ITS saja melainkan bangsa Indonesia juga.<\/div>\n

Diakui Mukhlis, untuk bisa berkontribusi untuk Indonesia mahasiswa ITS harus selangkah lebih maju dalam mengenal Indonesia. Menurutnya, dengan lebih mengenal Indonesia pemuda akan lebih cinta dengan Indonesia. "Hal tersebut juga akan turut menumbuhkan rasa kontribusi dengan menyumbangkan karya maupun pemikirannya," ujar mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Industri ini.<\/div>\n

Mempertimbangkan visi, misi dan kebijakan yang akan diusung oleh kedua capres BEM tersebut, keempat panelis pun coba bergantian memberikan tanggapannya. Salah satu panelis, Presiden BEM ITS periode 2010\/2011, Dalu Nuzul Kirom memberikan pernyataan yang tidak terduga. <\/div>\n

Pasalnya, ia meminta kedua kandidat menceritakan kembali visi dan misi pesaingnya dengan baik dan benar. "Hal ini juga untuk melihat seberapa menghargai dan saling mengisi kalian nanti apabila salah satunya tidak menjadi Presiden BEM," pinta Dalu.
