Background

Subchan obtained a BSc in Mathematics from the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya (1994), a MSc in Mathematics from Technische Universiteit Delft, the Netherlands (2000) and a PhD in Computational Optimal Control from Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Cranfield University (2006).

He joined Mathematics, ITS in 1997 as a lecturer and was appointed as the Head of Data Processing and Operation Research Laboratory in 2009, Secretary of Robotics Centre, ITS in 2010, Head of Modelling and Simulation Laboratory in 2011, Vice Rector on Academic Affairs at Kalimantan Institute of Technology in 2015-2019, and currently he is the Head of Mathematics Department, Faculty of Science and Data Analytics, ITS.

Subchan was a research fellow at the Department of Aerospace Power and Sensors, Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Cranfield University and a member of Team Stellar, the winning team for the UK Ministry of Defence Grand Challenge in 2008. He was also honored as the best lecturer at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya at 2012. He is a chief editorial of International Journal Computing Science and Applied Mathematics.
