Logo Resmi A Renewal Agent (ARA)
The ITS Information Technology Department recently established for 3 years since January 24th, 2018 has succeeded in holding the 2nd largest event, A Renewal Agent (ARA), at the end of the first quarter of 2021. ARA is an activity idea created by the ITS Information Technology Student Association (HMIT) presented as an annual activity to become a place for Indonesia’s young generation, especially students from all senior high schools and universities in Indonesia to distribute and hone their interests and talents in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) and Cyber Security. This COVID-19 pandemic doesn’t become a barrier for us to hold this event, because the 2021 ARA ITS is held by utilizing various platforms that already exist and it can support the online implementation of the 2021 ARA ITS.

Two Speakers of the Second ‘ARATALK’ Webinar entitled “Peran IoT dalam Persiapan Menuju Indonesia Emas 2045”
ARA focuses on 4 sub-activities including the Cyber Security and IoT Olympics, the IoT Scientific Writing Competition, the Capture the Flag Competition (CTF), and ‘ARATALK’ Webinar which carries 2 kinds of webinar themes, entitled “A Specialist’s Sight: Monitoring Attacks and Cyber Threat Hunting” and “Peran IoT dalam Persiapan Menuju Indonesia Emas 2045”. These 4 sub-activities began on March 6th, 2021 for the first ‘ARATALK’ Webinar, March 7th, 2021 for the second ‘AARATALK’ Webinar, and the elimination phase of the CTF competition as well as March 12th, 2021 for the elimination phase of the Cyber Security and IoT Olympics. Each of these sub-activities has 3 different target participants, namely the CTF competition and IoT Scientific Writing competition for senior high school students, and ‘ARATALK’ Webinar for the public.

As an annual event, ARA will always bring a different theme every year. The 2021 ARA ITS brings the theme entitled “For the Golden Generation of Indonesia”, which is expected with the existence of ARA can give birth to national renewal agents supporting the development and progress of the information technology field in Indonesia. Some unique facts, as well as outstanding achievements of 2021 ARA ITS, are 2021 ARA ITS became the first CTF competition organizer at ITS, the initiator of the Cyber Security and IoT Olympics in Indonesia, and successfully attracted almost 2000 registrants for all sub-activities.
