Singapore Institute of Technology – Social Innovation Challenge 2026

Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), in collaboration with the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), invites ITS students to participate in the Social Innovation Challenge 2026, held in conjunction with a Study Excursion to Singapore.

Program Overview

The Social Innovation Challenge is a four-day immersive program that brings together university students across ASEAN for cross-cultural collaboration, innovation, and real-world problem-solving.

Main Program
Location: SIT Punggol Campus, Singapore
Dates: 11–14 August 2026

Study Excursion Extension
Dates: 15–17 August 2026

• 17 August (morning): Visit to Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS)
• 17 August (afternoon): Continued academic visit/program at SUSS
• 18 August: Departure

Objectives

Participants will:

• Explore opportunities and challenges within ASEAN entrepreneurship ecosystems
• Develop innovative solutions to social and sustainability-related issues
• Collaborate with international peers in a multidisciplinary setting
• Present ideas in a structured pitching session evaluated by academic and industry representatives

Program Highlights

Day 1 – 11 August 2026
Introduction to ASEAN opportunities, keynote session, program briefing, and team formation, followed by campus engagement activities.

Day 2 – 12 August 2026
Panel discussions with young entrepreneurs and exposure to sustainability practices through site visits.

Day 3 – 13 August 2026
Workshops and seminars on developing social innovation proposals and refining problem statements.

Day 4 – 14 August 2026
Final project preparation, pitching session, and award ceremony with networking session.

Study Excursion Component

Following the main program, participants will join a structured study excursion in Singapore, including academic exposure at SUSS and additional institutional engagement opportunities.

Participation Fee

The program fee is IDR 7,000,000 per participant.

The fee includes:

• Accommodation during the program
• Local program arrangements

The fee does not include:

• International airfare
• Insurance
• Personal expenses

Additional Information

Participants will receive a digital orientation package and program materials prior to departure. One representative from ITS is expected to participate as a judge in the final pitching session (to be confirmed).

Eligibility (ITS Students)

Applicants must:

• Be an undergraduate (D4/S1) or Postgraduate (S2) student
• Be enrolled as a full-time student
• Have good English communication skills
• Be interested in Thai culture
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills
