Surabaya, F-ELECTICS ITS – Starting from a simple concern about the confusion of starting a business, the FounderHub team achieved a proud accomplishment by winning First Place at KMI Expo XVI in the Digital Business (Early Stage) category. This achievement is not only recognition of the quality of the ideas developed, but also confirms FounderHub’s potential as a relevant business learning platform for the younger generation.

FounderHub was first conceived in March 2025 as a business learning platform for individuals who did not yet have a clear idea about the first steps in entrepreneurship. The idea was then submitted to the 2025 Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW) and went through a series of internal selections at ITS. Throughout this process, the FounderHub team received valuable feedback from professors, mentors, and evaluators, which drove the gradual development of the idea into the mature platform with its current concept and services.

Team structure is one of the important foundations in FounderHub’s journey. The platform was developed by five students from different backgrounds, namely Isaura Qinthara Heriswan (CEO, Information Systems 2022), Annisa Fadila Rahmawati (CFO, Information Systems 2022), Talitha Firyal Ghina Nuha (COO, Information Systems 2022), Alvian Syiham Risal (CTO, Marine Engineering 2022), and Muhammad Satrio Adjie (CMO, Information Systems 2024). The division of roles is based on the talents and interests of each member so that the team’s contributions can be optimized. Additionally, the FounderHub team actively enhances their competencies in line with their responsibilities.

“We are not only building a product, but also building the quality of the team so that it can grow alongside FounderHub’s development,” said Qintha, CEO of FounderHub.

The experience of participating in KMI Expo XVI in Magelang was both challenging and educational. The high enthusiasm of the participants and the quality of the businesses on display made the competition feel intense. The FounderHub team considered the pitching session to be a crucial factor in the assessment, so they prepared thoroughly from the moment they arrived until the day of the presentation. “We made sure that every member was ready to face any possibility. When FounderHub was announced as the first-place winner, it felt like all the hard work from start to finish had truly paid off,” said Ghina, the COO. She added that from the beginning, the team had two big dreams: to make FounderHub a sustainable startup and to bring home the victory from the KMI Expo.

FounderHub’s main advantage lies in its personalized learning path concept, which sets it apart from other business learning platforms. In the early stages, FounderHub only focused on general business video content. However, evaluations and user feedback showed that generic education was not enough to meet the needs of aspiring entrepreneurs. This led to the creation of the 4H approach (Hustler, Hacker, Hipster, and Handler), which allows users to take a business role test and then receive learning material recommendations tailored to their position and needs. “This approach makes learning more focused, relevant, and applicable,” explained Satrio, CMO of FounderHub.

In addition to the business concept, FounderHub is also strengthened by its ecosystem and external network. The platform not only offers personalized learning paths, but also provides more than five business support services in one integrated ecosystem. FounderHub has also collaborated with various parties, ranging from ITS to external partners such as Eleved ID, McKinsey & Company, Bakti Nusa, and eight other partners. According to Dila, the CFO, this external support is an important factor in increasing the credibility and sustainability of the platform.

After winning first place, the FounderHub team prioritized refining the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) based on user feedback and direct input from the judges. This step was considered crucial to ensure that the features and learning flow were truly in line with market needs. On the other hand, expanding strategic collaborations with industry partners and multinational companies is also a focus to enrich the learning ecosystem. “We want to build FounderHub as an early-stage startup that grows sustainably, with a strong foundation of values and business,” said Alvian Syiham Risal, CTO.

In the long term, FounderHub is expected to serve as an early mentor for young entrepreneurs in Indonesia, especially those who are still in the exploration and role-finding stage. Through a personalized learning approach, FounderHub strives to help users understand their position in business while equipping them with the relevant skills to build a real business.

The FounderHub team also conveyed a message to ITS students who are interested in venturing into entrepreneurship.

“Don’t be afraid to start. Begin with small steps and immediately implement what you’ve learned. Failure is normal; what’s important is that each failure is turned into a learning experience, not a reason to stop,” Qintha said.

FounderHub’s achievements at KMI Expo XVI are proof that the courage to start, supported by a consistent process, can produce real impact and achievements.
