In celebration of its 65th Dies Natalis, the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) reaffirmed its commitment to digital transformation by introducing the ITS Command Center—an integrated control facility designed to monitor campus activities in real time and enhance overall security. The inauguration, held on Monday (10/11), was accompanied by the awarding of the ISO 27001 Certificate for the ITS Data Center, marking its compliance with international information security standards.

ITS Rector, Prof. Dr. (HC) Ir. Bambang Pramujati, ST., MSc.Eng., Ph.D., emphasized that the Command Center is a vital component of the university’s effort to build a more modern and integrated digital governance system. He noted that the facility functions as a centralized digital hub that connects various monitoring systems, enabling more effective and organized surveillance across the campus.

During its initial phase, the Command Center will focus on supporting traffic safety within campus areas. The system is connected to 25 CCTV cameras along major routes, four panoramic VR-based cameras, and ten speed-trap cameras capable of detecting speeding violations or riders without helmets. All recorded data is transmitted directly to the ITS Data Center for storage and analysis, forming the basis for future improvements in campus security policies. In addition, integration with the myITS application allows violators to automatically receive notifications regarding traffic infractions.

Bambang stressed that this approach is not merely intended to enforce regulations but also to foster discipline and strengthen safety awareness among the academic community.

Alongside the Command Center inauguration, ITS officially received the ISO 27001 Certificate, granted to the Directorate of Technology Development and Information Systems (DPTSI). This certification signifies that ITS has met global standards in data and information security, ensuring the protection of information belonging to students, staff, and institutional partners. The achievement also supports ITS’s strategic roadmap toward becoming a world-class Entrepreneurial University and aligns with SDG Goal 9 on industry, innovation, and infrastructure.

Moving forward, ITS plans to expand its digital monitoring network by installing additional cameras in strategic campus locations. This enhancement aims to ensure that every corner of the ITS campus remains secure, comfortable, and properly monitored.

In closing, the Rector expressed his appreciation to all teams involved for their collaborative efforts in bringing this milestone to fruition. He expressed confidence that the Command Center will serve as a crucial foundation for accelerating ITS’s digital transformation and strengthening its competitiveness on the global stage.
