Vision

Civil Engineering Department became the Centre of reference (Resource Center) in Indonesian Civil Engineering which support the development of the marine industry and environmentally.

Mission

  1. Organized education of civil engineering to produce graduates who are professional and capable of working in global competition.
  2. Be a pioneer in the development of science in civil engineering in Indonesia.
  3. Become the center of community consultation on the subject of civil engineering in Indonesia.
  4. Cultivate and maintain the moral and academic ethics.

Purpose

  1. Generate a Bachelor who are able to work together in a team to perform the design of civil engineering infrastructures that are environmentally.
  2. Generate a Bachelor who had a knowledge of building supervision-implementation of civil engineering and entrepreneurship that is creative, innovative, and has enough stock to develop themselves with the principle of lifelong learning.

Objectives of the Undergraduate Civil Engineering Program at ITS

  1. Ability to Collaborate in Teamwork
    Demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a team to design civil engineering infrastructure in accordance with applicable codes and environmental considerations, including:

    • Buildings, industrial structures, and bridges.
    • Water utilization and control structures.
    • Transportation infrastructure and supporting facilities.
    • Geotechnical engineering structures.
    • Project management systems.
  2. Professional Development
    Possess the ability to continuously develop oneself as a competent civil engineering professional.

  3. Effective Communication
    Demonstrate the ability to communicate scientific work effectively, both orally and in writing, while upholding moral values and adhering to professional ethics.

  4. Problem-Solving and Applied Research
    Have the competence to solve case studies or conduct applied research in the field of civil engineering.

  5. Entrepreneurial and Academic Advancement
    Be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities or continue studies at a higher academic level.

Capaian Pembelajaran Program Studi

  1. Mampu menerapkan matematika, sains, dan prinsip rekayasa (engineering principles) untuk membuat atau memodifikasi model rekayasa sipil pada bidang struktur, sumberdaya air, geoteknik, dan transportasi.
  2. Mampu menyelesaikan masalah rekayasa sipil yang berkaitan dengan struktur, sumberdaya air, geoteknik, dan transportasi, meliputi kemampuan:
  3. Mengidentifikasi, memformulasi, menganalisis, dan menemukan sumber masalah rekayasa sipil. a.) Mengusulkan solusi terbaik untuk menyelesaikan masalah rekayasa sipil berdasarkan prinsip-prinsiprekayasa, dengan mempertimbangkan faktor ekonomi, keamanan, keselamatan publik, dan kelestarian lingkungan. b.) Merencanakan dan merancang infrastruktur di bidang: rekayasa struktur (gedung minimal delapan lantai dan jembatan dengan bentang minimal 60 meter), rekayasa sumber daya air (bendung/dam kecil tinggi 10 meter, irigasi luasan maksimum 3000 ha, drainase kawasan serta bangunan sungai dan pantai), rekayasa geoteknik (pondasi, struktur penahan tanah dan metode perbaikan tanah), dan rekayasa transportasi (jalan raya, jalan rel, pelabuhan dan bandar udara) berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip rekayasa dengan mempertimbangkan standar teknis, aspek kinerja, keandalan, kemudahan pelaksanaan, keberlanjutan, serta memperhatikan faktor-faktor ekonomi, keselamatan publik, kultural, sosial dan lingkungan (environmental consideration). c.) Memilih sumberdaya dan memanfaatkan hasil analisis rekayasa berbasis teknologi informasi dan komputasi yang sesuai untuk perencanaan/perancangan di bidang: rekayasa struktur, rekayasa sumberdaya air,  rekayasa geoteknik, dan rekayasa transportasi. d.) Mampu melakukan pengawasan dan pengendalian pelaksanaan konstruksi hasil perencanaan/perancangan rekayasa, yaitu: rekayasa struktur, rekayasa sumber daya air, rekayasa geoteknik, dan rekayasa transportasi, dengan mengacu kepada peraturan, norma, standar, pedoman,dan manual yang berlaku.
  4. Mampu menggunakan teknologi mutakhir yang tersedia dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan.
  5. Mampu mengkritisi kebijakan penyelesaian masalah infrastruktur yang telah dan/atau sedang diterapkan, dan dituangkan dalam bentuk kertas kerja ilmiah.
