On Friday, October 3, 2025, the Department of Industrial Mechanical Engineering held an Alumni Profile Strengthening event with the theme “Empowering Graduates for Global Excellence and Lasting Impact.” Prof. Dr. Ir. Eduart Wolok, S.T., M.T., a 1995 alumnus of the Department of Industrial Mechanical Engineering, currently serves as the Rector of Gorontalo State University.
The event began with the singing of Indonesia Raya and the ITS Hymn, followed by remarks. The first remark was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ir. The second remark was delivered by Dr. Atria Pradityana, S.T., M.T., Head of the Department of Industrial Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Vocational Studies, ITS.
In the main event, Prof. Dr. Ir. Eduart Wolok, S.T., M.T., began by sharing his experience studying in the Diploma 3 Mechanical Engineering program at ITS. He stated that studying there was not easy. However, he met a lecturer who inspired him to continue his education to the highest level, Ir. Mahirul Mursid, M.Sc. He explained that obstacles during college can be overcome depending on the student’s own initiative. With this experience, the students attending the event became more enthusiastic about completing their studies. The event was well-attended and enthusiastically received by students and concluded with a question-and-answer session. DTMI students took photos with the speakers.
This event is expected to provide insights and motivation for students to not give up and easily complain during their studies on campus and pursue their dreams after graduating from the Department of Industrial Mechanical Engineering at ITS.
