Climate change and rapid urbanisation lead to complex environmental challenges in every aspect, such as water availability and quality crisis, urban air pollution, increasing volume and complexity of waste, and the emergence of new pollutants, especially microplastics and emerging contaminants. These issues have become concerns for the international community. These challenges affect multi-disciplinary areas, which makes the demand for global collaboration with environmental engineering approaches. The rapid development of science and technology provides strategic opportunities to address these challenges. Environment-based innovations in processing technology, system modelling and simulation, big data and artificial intelligence usage, and integrated systems approaches have opened new spaces for more precise, adaptive, and evidence-based decision-making.
In line with the global agenda, such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), net-zero emissions targets, and strengthening the capacity of higher education institutions, an international scientific forum is needed that not only serves as a means of disseminating research results but also as a strategic platform to build academic partnerships, cross-border research collaboration, and institutional capacity building.
Overall, the 7th International Conference on Environmental Engineering (7th ICOEE) raises the theme of “Engineering Solutions for Environmental Resilience in a Changing World” as a strategic initiative to strengthen international academic networks, increase institutional visibility, and encourage real-world environmental engineering solutions.
The 7th ICOEE is organised by:
Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya (ITS), Indonesia and co-organised with:
