A study excursion organized by the Manufacturing Systems Laboratory, Department of Systems and Industrial Engineering, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (DTSI ITS), was officially held as an applied learning activity aimed at broadening participants’ knowledge regarding the implementation of modern, sustainable, technology-based business processes. This activity was designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of business systems management, company values, and digital transformation in supporting the competitiveness of the service and manufacturing industries.
The study excursion took place on Friday, October 31, 2025, with the purpose of visiting PT Garuda Daya Pratama Sejahtera. On this occasion, members of the Manufacturing Systems Laboratory, consisting of lecturers and laboratory assistants, received an explanation of the company’s core business processes and how PT Garuda Daya Pratama Sejahtera’s three pillars of commitment play a role in driving more sustainable business processes. Furthermore, participants learned about the company’s vision for sustainable production and consumption processes, and its efforts to minimize production waste.
Through this activity, participants also gained an understanding of the implementation of company values in daily operations as the foundation for an adaptive and innovative work culture. This comparative study not only enriches academic and practical insights into technology-based business systems but also raises awareness of the importance of innovation, sustainability, and collaboration in navigating future industrial dynamics. Therefore, this activity is a strategic step in supporting the development of competitive human resources ready to face the challenges of industrial transformation.
