Aspire (Eastern Indonesia App Challenge) is an initiative of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), in collaboration with the U.S. Consulate General Surabaya. It is aimed at young people aged 18–25 who are interested in app development and digital innovation. The program focuses on web-based application development through case-based learning, online training (MOOC), coaching, and hackathon competitions. It concludes with a final offline bootcamp at ITS Surabaya. Participants come from several cities in Eastern Indonesia, such as Surabaya, Malang, Makassar, and Ambon, with the goal of fostering the development of digital talent capable of creating technology-based solutions.
The Aspire 2026 series of activities includes registration, online training, app development, online coaching, an online hackathon, and a visit to the American Corner, before finally entering the final bootcamp in September 2026. Through this program, participants not only gain technical experience in app development but also have the opportunity to expand their network, learn directly from experts, and earn official certifications from ITS and the U.S. Consulate General Surabaya. This program is expected to become a strategic platform for developing young innovators capable of providing impactful digital solutions for society.
