Fire-Z (Facing the Industrial Revolution Era for Gen Z) program was officially launched as an integrated learning activity designed to introduce participants to modern, efficient production methods while providing insight into future challenges and competency needs. This activity aims to strengthen participants’ understanding of the application of industrial efficiency principles while fostering awareness of the importance of mastering language skills and soft skills in facing the dynamics of the global workplace.
The educational program includes an introduction to efficient production methods, including the Toyota Production System (TPS), Lean Six Sigma, and the integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) principles into modern industrial practices. Furthermore, the program includes a future-oriented insight session discussing changing competency needs in the era of digital transformation, including the importance of learning English as a means of global and professional communication.
To complement the activity, participants also participated in an ITS Campus Tour to gain a closer look at the academic environment and learning facilities at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS). Through this activity, participants not only gained knowledge about efficient production systems but also understood the importance of collaboration, innovation, and cross-cultural skills in addressing future industrial challenges. Thus, this activity is a strategic step in building a young generation that is adaptive, has a global perspective, and is ready to contribute to sustainable development.
