The 3D Printing Training by the Manufacturing Systems Laboratory, Department of Systems and Industrial Engineering, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), was officially held as a competency development activity in modern manufacturing. This free activity is the laboratory’s contribution to improving the skills of students and the general public in utilizing additive manufacturing technology, particularly 3D printers. This training is designed to provide a basic and practical understanding of the 3D printing-based product manufacturing process relevant to current industry needs.
The training will last two days: Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time) and Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM WIB. During this series of activities, participants will receive training on the working principles of 3D printers, an introduction to materials, design stages, and the product printing process. Through a hands-on approach, participants are expected to understand the flow of 3D printing machines effectively and safely, and apply this knowledge to the manufacture of simple products.
This training is specifically for students and the general public as an effort to improve technical skills in technology-based manufacturing. In addition to providing direct benefits to participants, this program also serves as the first step in a series of training programs to be held by the Manufacturing Systems Laboratory in the future. This activity is expected to create an inclusive learning ecosystem that is adaptive to technological developments and able to support the improvement of human resource quality in the manufacturing sector.
