Surabaya, September 23, 2023 — Students from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (TSI) at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) have once again made a remarkable achievement on the national stage. A team consisting of Inastika Nabilah, Bagas W. Wicaksono, Made Laksmi, and Ariyani successfully won 1st Place in the 12th Java Business Case Competition (JBC), organized by Telkom University in collaboration with the Java Business Competition.
Held from July 12 to September 23, 2023, the annual competition focused on economic, business, and management issues within the context of digital transformation. Participants were challenged to conduct research and present innovative solutions related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the challenges of the Society 5.0 era, under the theme “The Role of Gen Z to Reach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 Goals in Digitalization Business Society 5.0 Era.”
The ITS TSI team stood out in the Paper Competition category—one of the three main divisions alongside the Business Plan Competition and UI/UX Competition. With strong analytical thinking and innovative ideas, the team presented a sustainable and forward-looking solution that aligned with the goals of business digitalization and global sustainability.
This outstanding achievement reflects the excellence of ITS Industrial and Systems Engineering students in integrating management, technology, and sustainability to address real-world challenges. It also reaffirms ITS’s commitment to nurturing adaptive, creative, and globally competitive young innovators who are ready to lead in the era of digital transformation.
