The Manufacturing Systems Guest Lecture, hosted by the Manufacturing Systems Laboratory, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), was officially held as part of a learning program aimed at broadening students’ knowledge of developments in modern manufacturing technology. This event, in collaboration with PT Rockwell Automation Indonesia as an industrial partner, provided students with a concrete understanding of the application of intelligent manufacturing systems in industrial environments. Through this guest lecture, students are expected to understand the direction of manufacturing development, which is increasingly integrated with digital technology.
The guest lecture took place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time, and featured a professional speaker, Mr. Virdiansyah Permana. During the presentation, the speaker presented material on the topic of Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, covering the basic understanding, concepts, and implementation of intelligent manufacturing systems at PT Rockwell Automation Indonesia. This presentation provided insight into the use of automation, data, and integrated systems to improve the efficiency and flexibility of manufacturing processes.
Through this guest lecture, students are expected to gain new insights into the implementation of manufacturing concepts learned in the classroom. In addition to enriching academic understanding, this activity also encourages students to be more adaptable to developments in industrial technology and future competency needs. Thus, this guest lecture is a strategic step in bridging theoretical learning with modern manufacturing industry practices.
