Surabaya, June 24, 2026 — The Department of Geomatic Engineering, Faculty of Civil, Planning, and Geo Engineering (FTSPK), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), held the Field Camp 2026 Send-Off Ceremony as the initial preparation before students conducted field activities in Gili Ketapang Village. This event marked an important moment for students to prepare themselves in applying Geomatic Engineering knowledge and skills through direct field surveys and measurements.
The send-off ceremony was held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the Volleyball Court of the Geomatic Engineering Department ITS. The event began with attendance, preparation, and equipment inspection by all Field Camp participants as part of their readiness before departing for the field location.
The event continued with an opening ceremony and official send-off session. The first speech was delivered by the Field Camp Chairperson, Candida Aulia De Silva Nusantara, S.T., M.T. In her speech, she expressed her hopes that all participants could carry out the Field Camp activities with enthusiasm, responsibility, and strong teamwork while gaining valuable academic and social experiences throughout the program.
The next speech was delivered by the Head of the Geomatic Engineering Department ITS, Dr. Khomsin, ST, MT. He provided motivation and guidance to the students, emphasizing the importance of readiness in facing field activities, both in technical skills, teamwork, and professional attitudes as representatives of Geomatic Engineering students of ITS.
The event continued with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Civil, Planning, and Geo Engineering (FTSPK) ITS, Prof. Adjie Pamungkas, S.T., M.Dev.Plg., Ph.D. He encouraged students to make the Field Camp a meaningful learning experience, improve their practical competencies, and maintain the good reputation of ITS during their activities in Gili Ketapang Village.
Following the speeches and send-off ceremony, the activity concluded with a group photo session involving all Field Camp participants. The documentation session became a symbol of unity, enthusiasm, and readiness before the students began their field activities. The group photo session was also included as part of the official send-off event series before departure.
Through the Field Camp 2026 program, the Geomatic Engineering Department ITS hopes that students will continue to develop their technical abilities, strengthen their fieldwork experience, and contribute positively through the implementation of Geomatic Engineering knowledge in Gili Ketapang Village.
