Greetings to all.

With deep gratitude, allow me to extend a warm welcome to all prospective students, parents, industry partners, and stakeholders who have shown interest and support for the Innovation, Systems, and Technology Management (MIST) Study Program.

This program was created in response to the demands of the modern era, which require the integration of innovation, technology, and management to address complex challenges in the age of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0. Through an adaptive and collaborative curriculum, MIST combines the strengths of systems engineering, innovation strategy, and managerial approaches to produce graduates who are not only technically competent but also visionary, agile, and ready to drive change.

We believe that sustainable innovation does not arise from technical excellence alone, but from the ability to manage resources, understand social and economic dynamics, and create solutions with broad impact. Therefore, this program also emphasizes character development, leadership, and systemic thinking skills required in a dynamic global environment.

We are committed to creating an inspiring learning ecosystem through collaboration with industry, research institutions, and innovation communities, both domestically and internationally. With guidance from experienced faculty and access to extensive professional networks, we are confident that MIST graduates will become pioneers in driving digital transformation, technological innovation, and data-driven decision-making across various sectors.

Requirements

Program participants are open to graduates:
1. Bachelor’s degree graduates with a GPA of 3.00 (for Master’s Program) from accredited public or private universities with a minimum program accreditation of B.
2. Master’s degree graduates with a GPA of 3.00 (for Doctoral Program) from accredited public or private universities with a minimum program accreditation of B.
3. For the Master to Doctor Program for Outstanding Graduates (PMDSU):
  1. Outstanding bachelor graduates (fresh graduates) within the last 3 years or will graduate in September for ITS graduates.
  2. Applicant GPA requirements are as follows:
    - Origin University Accreditation A, Origin Program Accreditation A, then GPA ≥ 3.25
    - Origin University Accreditation B, Origin Program Accreditation A, then GPA ≥ 3.5
    - Origin University Accreditation A, Origin Program Accreditation B, then GPA ≥ 3.5
    - Origin University Accreditation B, Origin Program Accreditation B, then GPA ≥ 3.75
  3. Age at registration must not exceed 24 years
Obtain two recommendations online by providing the Name and Email of 2 (two) recommenders from:
1. The head of the institution for those already working, or
2. A former lecturer or advisor from the bachelor program.
Have a TOEFL/TOEFL-like Paper-based certificate with a minimum score of 477 (for Master’s Program) and 500 (for Doctoral Program) from:
1. Institutional Testing Program (ITP)
2. English certificate from any public university in Indonesia
3. TEFL paper-based certificate can be replaced with IELTS score ≥ 4.5 or TOEFL iBT score ≥ 32

Have an Academic Potential Test (TPKA) certificate with a minimum score of 477 (Master’s) and 500 (Doctoral), issued by: Graduate Directorate and Academic Development (DIRP2A-ITS), or Academic Potential Test (TPA) by BAPPENAS, and TKDA HIMPSI. Pass the entrance exam / selection test:
- Written: Subject Material
- Interview
Declare willingness to comply with applicable academic and financial regulations.
Applicants for the Master’s Program must submit a Research Topic Proposal, and Doctoral Program applicants must have a Draft Dissertation Proposal approved by their prospective supervisor.

Requirements for MIST-ITS Master’s Program

Registration Procedures

Through the ITS website: smits.its.ac.id, applicants register for a Registration Access Code (KAP) and Personal Identification Number (PIN). Applicants must provide their full name, date of birth, and a valid email address.
Applicants will then receive an email containing the Payment Code, KAP, and PIN.
Using the Payment Code, applicants pay a registration fee of IDR 500,000.00 through Teller/ATM/Internet Banking at Bank Mandiri, Bank BNI, Bank BRI, Bank BTN, and Bank Jatim (Attention: The registration fee CANNOT be refunded for any reason).
Payment instructions are as follows:

Applicants complete the online registration by visiting the ITS Entrance Selection website (SMITS) at smits.its.ac.id and logging in using their KAP and PIN.
For online registration, applicants must prepare:
1. Recent color passport photo, size 4×6 cm (wearing neat and polite attire) with white background, in JPEG or PNG format, maximum size 500 KB.
2. Bachelor’s Degree Certificate (S1) / Graduation Letter (must include contact of department head/program coordinator: name, email, and phone number).
3. Bachelor’s Transcript (S1).
4. Master’s Degree Certificate (for Doctoral Program only).
5. Master’s Transcript (for Doctoral Program only).
6. Two Recommendation Letters (online submission by providing Name and Email of 2 (two) recommenders).
7. TOEFL/IELTS Certificate.
8. TPA or TPCA Certificate.
9. Health Certificate.
10. Applicants for the Master’s Program must submit a Research Topic Proposal, and applicants for Doctoral Program (Regular and Research) and S2 Research Track must have a Draft Dissertation Proposal approved by the prospective supervisor. Proposal formats can be downloaded here.
11. Portfolio (for S2 and S3 Research Track). Portfolio format can be downloaded here.
Applicants must save and print the online Registration Proof Card.
Applicants are not allowed to change the selected study program for any reason.
Applicants must sign the Registration Proof Card in the designated space.
The Registration Card must be brought during the subject test and interview.
