Types of Promotion Education Staff

Regular Promotion

An award given to civil servants who have met the specified requirements without being tied to a position, provided that they do not exceed the rank of their immediate superior.
Requirements:

  1. At least 4 (four) years in the last rank; and
  2. Each element of work performance assessment must be at least good in the last 2 (two) years.

Optional Promotion

Given to:

  • Civil Servants Holding Specific Functional Positions:
    positions that indicate the duties, responsibilities, authorities, and rights of a Civil Servant in an organizational unit whose duties are based on specific expertise and/or skills and are independent in nature.
    Requirements:
  1. at least 2 (two) years in the last rank;
  2. has met the specified credit score;
  3. each element of work performance assessment has at least a good score in the last 2 (two) years.
  • Civil Servants Who Have Obtained a Degree:
    Granted to civil servants who have obtained a degree equivalent to a higher rank.
    Requirements:
  1. appointed to a position/assigned tasks that require knowledge/skills in line with the degree obtained;
  2. at least 1 (one) year in the last rank;
  3. each element of work performance assessment must have a minimum rating of good in the last 1 (one) year;
  4. meets the specified number of credit points for those holding certain functional positions; and
  5. has passed the rank adjustment examination.
