What is BPJS?

BPJS stands for Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (National Health Insurance), which is a special institution tasked with providing health and employment insurance for the public, PNS (civil servants), and private employees. This program was launched in 2014 based on Law No. 24 of 2011.

Types of BPJS at ITS?

There are two types of BPJS programs implemented at ITS, namely:

  1. BPJS Kesehatan (Health Insurance)
    BPJS Kesehatan is health insurance, commonly referred to as Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN or National Health Insurance). The legal basis for its implementation is Law No. 40 of 2004.
  2. BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Employment)
    National Health Insurance (BPJS) Ketenagakerjaan is a public legal entity established through Law No. 24 of 2014, which aims to provide adequate basic needs for each participant and/or their family members.
