ITS Library Hosts a Benchmarking Visit from Universitas Dinamika

Surabaya — The library at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) hosted a benchmarking visit from four librarians from Dinamika University on Tuesday (Oct. 27). The purpose of the visit was to gain insights and references regarding the use of public spaces and the development of library facilities that can support the comfort and needs of library users.

The group was welcomed in the Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of the ITS Library by the Head of the ITS Library, Agus Santoso, S.Sos., M.Med.Kom., along with several ITS librarians who assisted with the event. During the welcome session, participants received a presentation on the various services, facilities, and programs offered by the ITS Library as part of the library’s development under the vision of a “Knowledge and Happiness Center.”

The event continued with an interactive discussion session. As fellow university library administrators, the two parties exchanged information, experiences, and ideas regarding service management, the use of public spaces, and the development of library facilities. Various topics were discussed in depth through questions and discussions related to their respective library management practices.

After the discussion session, the group took a library tour to see firsthand the various facilities and services offered by the ITS Library. The participants appeared enthusiastic throughout the event, especially when learning about the facilities, services, and the meaning behind the “Knowledge and Happiness Center” vision. Through this benchmarking visit, it is hoped that an exchange of knowledge and experiences will take place, which can serve as a reference for the future development of library services and facilities.
