ITS Library Holds Free Book Giveaway for the Academic Community

Surabaya — The Library of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) is holding a free book giveaway in the ITS Library lobby starting Friday (Oct. 16). This event is open to the entire academic community as well as the general public who are interested in obtaining and making use of the available books.

This event is part of the implementation of the 5S+S program (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke, and Safety), specifically as part of efforts to organize and clean the workspace in the Digital Library Development Room (PPD). During this process, a number of old, unused books were discovered that needed to be reorganized to make the workspace neater and more orderly.

Rather than letting them pile up or disposing of them outright, the books that are still usable were made available free of charge to anyone who needs them. This initiative is one way to repurpose the collection so that it retains its value and can benefit other readers.

Through this activity, the ITS Library hopes that books previously no longer in use can find new readers and be put to good use again. Interested students and visitors can pick up these books directly in the ITS Library lobby while supplies last.
