ITS Library Holds Web of Science Trial Training to Support High-Impact Research and Publications

Surabaya – The Library of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), in collaboration with iGroup Indonesia, held a Web of Science Trial Training session titled “Learning Web of Science for High-Impact Research and Publication” on Tuesday (September 29). The event was held in a hybrid format at the Creative Co-Working Space (CCWS) on the first floor of the ITS Library and via Zoom.

The event featured Soumik Das, Senior Account Manager for Southeast Asia at Clarivate, and Lee Inn Beng, Director of Government Strategy & Engagement for Southeast Asia at Clarivate, as speakers. Meanwhile, the training session was moderated by Wiwi Wiyanti, an Account Executive at iGroup Indonesia.

This training session was organized to introduce the use of Web of Science (WoS) as a source of information that can support research activities and high-impact publications. Through this training, participants gained insights into how to use WoS to support their research needs and the scientific publication process.

The event was conducted in an interactive format and was attended by approximately 60 participants, both in person and online. Participants not only listened to the presentations but also actively asked questions about using Web of Science for research and publication purposes. This interaction enriched the training session and provided participants with the opportunity to receive direct explanations from the speakers.

Through this event, the ITS Library continues to encourage the academic community to take advantage of the various information sources and scientific databases available to support academic and research activities. It is hoped that a better understanding of Web of Science will help participants optimize their search for scientific information and support the development of high-quality research and publications.
