Who says you can only learn chemistry in the classroom and lab? The proof is, the Chemistry Cheerful Challenge from the Department of Chemistry – FSAD Class of 2023 which was held at the ITS Library Mini Theater yesterday (Friday, 14 June 2024) succeeded in making studying chemistry exciting!🧪💥

Just imagine, guys! Instead of struggling with chemical formulas that make you dizzy, participants are invited to watch the legendary film Doctor Who together! 🎬👽 Seriously, the Mini Theater vibes immediately changed into an impromptu TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension in Space)! Everyone eagerly awaits the Time Lord’s adventures to explore space and time.

Eh…. but don’t get me wrong, you don’t just have to watch it, you know! After watching, participants are challenged to take part in mini-quiz games about the world of Doctor Who and of course, about chemistry! 🧠⚡ The questions are tricky but fun!

The atmosphere broke even more when the game session started. Laughter and hilarious banter from the participants and committee made the atmosphere light and full of jokes. I can’t believe it, the event that was originally to relieve the tiredness of studying chemistry, has become a place to have fun with friends.

“The event was enjoyable! Honestly, I didn’t think studying chemistry could be this cool. Watching Doctor Who together and playing quiz games, felt nostalgic about childhood!” said one of the participants enthusiastically.

Not only the participants, ITS librarian Mr. Iwan Juniato also admitted that he was very happy with the enthusiasm of the participants. “I’m really happy to see the participants this excited. Hopefully, this event can make them even more enthusiastic about studying chemistry, and of course, love the ITS Library even more!” he said.

This event is real proof that the ITS library is not just a place, but can also be a place to have fun and unwind. 🙌
