Usage Restrictions on ITS Library E-Resources
Access for Users
ITS Library electronic resources can only be accessed by:
- Active ITS students
- ITS lecturers and staff
- Other parties designated in accordance with ITS Library policy
Access must not be shared or transferred to individuals outside the institution.
Permitted Use (Permitted Use)
Users are permitted to:
- Downloading, storing, and printing a reasonable portion of the content.
- Using the material for academic purposes, such as research, personal study, teaching, or lecture preparation.
- Quoting and using content in accordance with copyright provisions and academic ethics.
Prohibited Use
Users are strictly prohibited from doing the following:
Excessive Downloading
- Downloading content in bulk, repeatedly, sequentially, or systematically.
- Using programs, bots, scripts, or automated devices to download data.
Copyright Infringement and Licensing
- Copying, distributing, reproducing, or re-uploading licensed content to public websites.
- Using content for commercial purposes.
- Changing or modifying material for redistribution.
Misuse of Access Identity
- Sharing Single Sign-On accounts or credentials/library access with other parties
Consequences of Violations
Violations of the rules of use may result in:
- Blocking access to e-resources for individual accounts of violators.
- Temporary or permanent termination of access for all institutions by the publisher.
- Administrative or legal action in accordance with ITS regulations and laws and regulations concerning copyright.
Users are fully responsible for all actions taken using their accounts.
