The Industrial Engineering Study Program, which combines management and engineering disciplines, is the ideal thing to hone the student’s skills in treading their career path in whatever sector they work in, be it manufacturing or services, or government organizations.

 

The Department of Industrial Engineering opened a postgraduate study program of Industrial Engineering from the academic year 1996/1997. The Department of Industrial Engineering ITS is a respected major in Indonesia and quite internationally recognized. For more than 20 years, the Department of Industrial Engineering ITS has become one of the productive programs in producing graduates and research work.

 

This study program is supported by 31 teaching staff with qualifications: 1 Professor, 7 Doctor, and 23 Masters. Supporting facilities available are as follows: Full AC and LCD Lecture Rooms, 6 Laboratories, Discussion Room, Reading Room with more than 4000 library materials, international scientific journals, national scientific journals, including free internet connections and other facilities.

 

Goals

 

The Industrial Engineering Masters Program aims to form scholars who have high knowledge and abilities in planning, organizing industrial systems more broadly and complex. Another capability desired from the existence of this program is to increase the effectiveness and efficiency, especially in the industrial systems. For this reason, the Bachelor of Industrial Engineering has a powerful role that is associated with the design, repair, and operation of production systems that involve humans, materials, machinery, and equipment as well as information and energy.

 

In fulfilling the capabilities, an Industrial Engineering graduate must obtain a reliable provision and apply social sciences (primarily economics) and engineering science together, which can analyze, predict and evaluate the results to be achieved by the system industry optimally.

Academic Activities

 

The Industrial Engineering Master Study Program has a total credit load of 40 credits, with the standard time of study is 4 semesters (2 years). However, high achieving students can complete it within three semesters. Every student must take compulsory courses, elective courses, thesis proposals, and theses following the curriculum. The first semester starts in early September, while the second semester starts in early February and ends in June.

 

Lecture Time:

  • Regular:

Monday-Friday 8: 8-16: 00

  • Evening:

Monday-Friday 06.30-22.00

  • Weekend:

Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 to 16:00

Adequate laboratory equipment and space are essential, both for supporting the learning process for students, supporting academic staff research and strengthening the role of consultancy with the industry.
