Surabaya, ITS News — To address the need for digitalization of cooperative management, the community service team at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) has developed an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) innovation called CerdasERP Koperasi. The system was handed over to Jagir Village, Wonokromo District, Surabaya City, on Friday (September 4).
The head of the development team, Prof. Drs. Ec. Ir. Riyanarto Sarno, MSc., PhD, explained that CerdasERP Koperasi is specifically designed for cooperative operational needs, such as membership management, transactions, inventory, and calculating Net Operating Income (SHU). To support these needs, the system is equipped with ten modules covering Asset Management, Bank Cash, Inventory, Purchasing, Sales, Finance and Accounting, Cashier, Membership, Savings, and SHU.
Riyanarto further explained that this system integrates various processes into a single recording process. For example, when an employee scans a product barcode, the system automatically updates stock and adjusts financial journals and reports. “Users simply access CerdasERP Koperasi via https://cerdaserp.com/ without downloading any additional applications,” said the Professor of the ITS Informatics Engineering Department .
Responding to this innovation, Jagir Village Head Elvanda Danu Hergaiswara ST explained that before the system was implemented, all processes at the Merah Putih Village Cooperative (KKMP) relied on written bookkeeping. This recording, including ledgers, ledgers, and receipts, was still done manually and at risk of being lost. “This situation makes preparing financial reports and annual operating results quite time-consuming,” said Elvan, as he is familiarly known.
Elvan believes that the implementation of the SmartERP Cooperative is part of an effort to improve the efficiency of KKMP management. This system helps KKMP managers conduct financial oversight and carry out bookkeeping and reporting processes more effectively. “Thus, this system innovation is expected to continue to support sustainable KKMP governance,” said the ITS Civil Engineering Department alumnus.
To ensure system accuracy, CerdasERP Koperasi has been assisted by accounting expert Yanis Ulil Ulul Azmi, SE, SIIP, MA. The accounting lecturer at Wijaya Kusuma University, Surabaya, validated that the system’s financial reports comply with the Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK). “Several accounting processes are also integrated into the system to make it easier for users,” Yanis added.
The handover of the SmartERP Cooperative to Jagir Village was accompanied by a series of activities to support the system’s implementation. These activities included outreach, demonstrations, training and practical use, and evaluation. In addition to the system handover, Jagir Village also received a cash register device grant, including a tablet, barcode scanner, receipt printer, and cash drawer.
Led by Riyanarto, the development of the Smart ERP Cooperative involved the Intelligent Information Management (MCI) Laboratory and several doctoral and undergraduate students from the ITS Department of Informatics Engineering. The MCI lecturers involved were Ratih Nur Esti Anggraini SKom MSc PhD, Dr. Adhatus Solichah Ahmadiyah SKom MSc, Dr. Kelly Rossa Sungkono SKom MKom, Shintami Chusnul Hidayati SKom MSc PhD, and Nurul Fajrin Ariyani SKom MSc.
The development of the SmartERP Cooperative demonstrates ITS’s commitment to translating information technology into solutions that address community needs. This innovation also supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), point 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth, and point 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. (*)
