ITS Campus, ITS News — Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) has reaffirmed its commitment to recruiting the nation’s best talents through the 2026 New Student Admission Selection (SNPMB). A number of selection schemes were presented at the 2026 ITS Media Strategic Forum at the Harris Hotel & Conventions Surabaya, Wednesday (11/3) evening.
ITS Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Nurul Widiastuti, SSi, MSi, PhD, explained that this year’s undergraduate and vocational program selection through the National Student Admissions Program (SNPMB) offers three main pathways: the Achievement-Based National Selection (SNBP), the Test-Based National Selection (SNBT), and two independent selection pathways.

In general, the SNBT and SNBP schedules follow those set by the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek). Meanwhile, for independent selection, ITS offers the ITS Independent Selection with Achievement (SMITS FLAT) and the ITS Independent Selection with Test (SMITS ACE). Registration for SMITS FLAT is scheduled for April 21 to May 6, 2026, while SMITS ACE will be open from May 12 to June 3, 2026.
SMITS FLAT is presented as a token of appreciation for all the achievements of prospective new students. It provides ample opportunity to assess academic and non-academic achievements, along with report card grades. Meanwhile, SMITS ACE emphasizes selection through a computer-based written test, which will be administered offline at ITS.
Furthermore, the ITS Chemistry Department Professor also detailed the capacity for the 2026 regular program. There are 1,639 seats for the SNBP pathway, 2,503 seats for the SNBT pathway, and 3,018 seats for the independent selection pathway. “A total of 7,160 seats are available for the undergraduate and diploma programs,” he said.

In addition, to expand international exposure, ITS is also opening an International Undergraduate Program (IUP) pathway with a capacity of 380 seats. This selection is divided into three waves, with the first wave opening from January 12 to February 25, 2026. Meanwhile, the second wave will open from April 1 to May 6, 2026, followed by the third wave from June 3 to June 30, 2026.
To support inclusive access to higher education, ITS also offers various scholarships for prospective students. At the undergraduate level, the Garuda Scholarship facilitates joint and double degree programs with various renowned universities abroad. ITS offers at least 10 joint and double degree schemes in the IUP program, which are fully funded through the Garuda Scholarship.

Meanwhile, at the postgraduate level, ITS offers various funding schemes through scholarships, including the Patriot Scholarship, LPDP (Lembaga Pendikanan LPDP), Global Excellent Scholarship (GES), ITS Unggulan Scholarship, ITS Fast-D Scholarship, PDDI Scholarship, Predoctoral Scholarship, and Angka Nitisastro Scholarship.
Thus, through this outreach and event, ITS further strengthens its support for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, the points supported include point 4, which concerns Quality Education. The diversity of selection schemes and scholarships offered demonstrates ITS’s commitment to providing a quality, accessible higher education. This also aligns with SDG point 1, which concerns No Poverty. (ITS Public Relations)
