ITS Campus, ITS News — Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) published research results in the transportation field through the ITS Directorate of Cooperation and Business Management (DKPU). The presentation of the Community Satisfaction Index (IKM) results regarding the 2026 Eid Transportation (angleb) was in collaboration with the Transportation Policy Agency (BKT) of the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) on Thursday (2/4).

Opening the delivery of the survey results, the ITS Director of Cooperation and Business Management Tri Joko Wahyu ST MT PhD revealed that the research conducted by ITS aims to evaluate the 2026 angleb service. As an academic party, ITS collaborates with the government to encourage improvements in the transportation service sector in the coming year. “ITS continues to synergize in supporting transportation policies that benefit the community,” he said.

In presenting the results of her survey, the ITS transportation expert involved in the research, Prof Ir Hera Widyastuti MT PhD, stated that this survey was conducted in 26 provinces in Indonesia. The data taken from 5,105 respondents shows a good 2026 angleb service IKM result with a score of 82.15. This result increased by 3.45 points from 2025. “The highest 2026 angleb service IKM is in the railway mode with a very good category at 94.30,” explained this Professor of the ITS Civil Engineering Department.

Furthermore, according to Hera, the conveyed survey results still prioritize the evaluation aspect for the government. In the research results, the River, Lake, and Crossing Transportation (ASDP) mode has the lowest IKM score with a good category at 77.48. According to the service aspect, the highest IKM score is in infrastructure at 83.31 and the lowest is in transportation management at 80.93. Even so, both of these aspects are still included in the good category.

In addition, the railway mode with the highest IKM score still needs to maintain the IKM assessment aspect indicators. Several things that need to be maintained are security on the train during the trip, punctuality, and safety facilities.

However, the ease of obtaining train tickets during Eid becomes an indicator that needs attention from policymakers. One of the complaints from users of this mode that can be used as an evaluation is the limited number of tickets during Eid.

In the discussion session, the Director of Road Traffic of the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation Rudi Irawan SSiT MT stated that there was an increase in public transportation passengers by an average of 10.87 percent. This becomes a note for the government for a more mature preparation of facilities when there is a surge in angleb passengers next year. “This survey can also minimize complaints from the public next year,” he expressed via an online platform.

The publication of these survey results helps ITS in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets. Specifically point 11 regarding Sustainable Cities and Communities as well as point 17 regarding Partnerships for the Goals. The respondents hope that this research does not only become limited to publication, but can be used as a foundation for improving public transportation for the central and regional governments.
