ITS becomes the only Indonesian campus to participate in the Education Exhibition at HSE University, Saint Petersburg, Russia

Saint Petersburg, ITS News — Ready to transform into a Global Impact University, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) shows its excellence on the international stage. ITS again participates in the International Partnership Week (IPW) organized by the Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Saint Petersburg, Russia for four days, until Friday (22/5).

Currently, ITS is advancing its vision as a Resilient, Impactful, and Global campus in the 2026 Strategic Plan (Renstra). This time, ITS participates in a global-scale education exhibition and becomes the only invited university from Indonesia. Not only that, several ITS lecturers have the opportunity to become guest lecturers at one of the top Russian campuses.

ITS Director of Global Partnership (DKG) Dr Eng Ir Unggul Wasiwitono ST MEngSc IPM AEng assesses that ITS’s involvement serves as an opening door for every future international opportunity. “The large number of global campus representatives present in this one forum provides a great opportunity for ITS to establish new collaborations outside the HSE institution itself,” said Unggul.

Furthermore, the ITS Mechanical Engineering Department lecturer added that ITS’s involvement in the Students Fair event at HSE International Partnership Week 2026 is not an instant result. Because, ITS has conducted systematic and continuous preparations for a long time. “Since 2024, ITS began participating and in 2025 ITS acted as co-host of the Art of Reframe poster competition in collaboration between ITS DKV (Visual Communication Design Department, ed) and HSE,” explained Unggul.

ITS, as the only Indonesian university present, has attracted the attention of HSE students regarding cultural activity and mobility program. The ongoing dialogue between these two universities is also aimed at producing a deeper cooperative relationship. “Every productive discussion is expected to be realized into a concrete form of collaboration that benefits ITS and future international partners,” stated the ITS Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s alumnus.

In the interactive Meet and Greet session, participants are divided into several groups consisting of lecturer representatives and campus leaders from various countries. Here, participants not only introduce their respective campus identities but also exchange stories about the uniqueness of their home countries, a session that significantly relaxes the atmosphere.

The participation and collaborative networking carried out by ITS on this international stage also support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Especially the achievement on point 4 regarding Quality Education, as well as point 17 regarding Partnerships for the Goals. (HUMAS ITS)
