ITS Campus, ITS News — Students from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) have once again achieved a proud achievement . Two young ITS students won first place in the 2026 LLDIKTI Region VII East Java Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) on Thursday (30/4).
The achievement was achieved by Ismatul Aulia Rizki Kirana, a student in the ITS Instrumentation Engineering Technology Study Program , and Intan Fitri Hardyanti from the ITS Medical Technology Department . Both successfully represented East Java Province in the 2026 National Pilmapres (Pilmapres) for the Diploma and Bachelor’s levels.
Intan revealed that her journey began with concerns about the accessibility of healthcare technology. She believes that current advances in medical technology are still difficult for everyone to access. “Technology should be accessible to all levels of society, not just those living near healthcare facilities,” she said.

On the other hand, Aulia views the tobacco industry as a pillar of the Indonesian economy. However, the welfare of tobacco farmers remains a concern. “Therefore, I want to optimize the effectiveness of tobacco production to increase its selling value,” explained the student from Blitar.
Through this idea, these two students from the class of 2023 developed a community-oriented innovation. During the preparation stage, they received mentoring from ITS, including sharpening their creative ideas, English presentation simulations, and support from professional psychologists. “ITS didn’t just send a delegation; it prepared us to perform at our best,” they both said in unison.

These two young ITS students have proven that consistency is key to achieving success. They are optimistic about achieving maximum results in the upcoming 2026 National Student Selection (Pilmapres). Through their innovations, they hope this contribution will not only bring honor to the university but also demonstrate the active role of ITS students in creating solutions to challenges in society.
The achievements of these two Kampus Pahlawan students align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 4, which concerns Quality Education. ITS’s support for students in the Pilmapres (Pilmapres) competition enhances their intellect, character, and competitiveness on the national stage. This inclusive quality of education encourages students to innovate to address real-world challenges in society. (*)
