ITS Campus, ITS News — The Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) continues to strive to expand its collaborations to expand their benefits. This time, the collaboration was realized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between ITS and the North Central Timor (TTU) Regency Government in the Senate Meeting Room of the ITS Rectorate Building on Wednesday (July 6).
TTU Regent Yosep Falentinus Delasalle Kebo, SIP, MA, stated that North Central Timor, as a region in East Nusa Tenggara Province, still faces various regional and national issues. In light of this, the government is committed to addressing these issues and hopes for cooperation and support from various parties, including ITS, a university with superior capabilities.
ITS Chancellor Prof. Ir. Bambang Pramujati ST MScEng PhD delivered his remarks at the signing of the MoU between ITS and the TTU Regency Government.
Several issues raised and of primary concern included waste management and fecal sludge management. This requires them to break their isolation and establish more open communication with the central government and universities. “We hope this will foster real collaboration to help develop the region,” he added.
Meanwhile, ITS Rector Prof. Ir. Bambang Pramujati, ST, MSc, Eng, PhD, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him to contribute. Through this visit, the man, familiarly known as BP, also hopes to identify the potential of each party, which can be quickly collaborated on and developed together.

During the discussion session, ITS presented experts who presented various research and experiences that can be implemented to support development in TTU. The discussion involved lecturers and deans from the ITS Faculty of Civil and Geo Engineering (FTSPK) , the Director of the ITS Directorate of Research and Community Service (DRPM), and the ITS Vice Rector IV for Research, Innovation, Cooperation, and Alumni.
This momentum marks a concrete step by ITS in supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), point 10 on Reduced Inequality, point 11 on Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements, and point 17 on Partnerships to Achieve the Goals. BP hopes that this first collaboration between ITS and TTU can open the door to various other long-term collaborations. (ITS Public Relations)
