Department of Industrial Economics and Technology ManagementFaculty of Economics and ManagementDr. Daryl Powell is an adjunct professor at the Department of Industrial Economics and Technology Management. He is also Chief Scientist and Research Manager at SINTEF Manufacturing, and a visiting professor at the University of Bergamo in Italy. With more than 15 years of experience in studying and guiding lean transformations, he was also recently awarded the honorary title of Professor of Practice in Lean Manufacturing at the University of Wales Trinity St. David, in Swansea, UK. Dr. Powell's research focusses on lean manufacturing, action learning, and digitalization. He has more than 100 publications and over 1500 citations, and is the proud recipient of both the Shingo Research Award (for the Routledge Companion to Lean Management), and the Shingo Publication Award (for the Lean Sensei). His research results have been published in leading academic journals such as the International Journal of Operations and Production Management, the International Journal of Production Research, and the International Journal of Lean Six Sigma.

To participate in this event, you can submit only the abstract first, then submit the full paper after that abstract is accepted. Paper template/author guidelines can be downloaded here.
Please go to our conference management system to submit your abstract. Note that an abstract should contain between 200–300 words, outlining the background, methodology, and the results of your research. Include up to six keywords and topic area in your submission.
All manuscripts must be original and should have not been previously accepted in another conference or be under review at another conference. They must be original and unpublished. Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word. Please refer to the Author Guidelines for preparing the manuscript. All manuscripts must be written in English. The normal length of a paper for proceedings is 6-12 pages including tables, charts and references. The main body of the paper should be numbered in consecutive order a: ABSTRACT I. INTRODUCTION II. METHOD III. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION IV. CONCLUSION ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS REFERENCES All manuscripts will be blind reviewed by the members of the conference committee to ensure that an adequate standard is maintained.
