MMT ITS Social Responsibility 2019

MMT-ITS Social Responsibility (MSR) 2019 took place at the Tanggulangin District office in Sidoarjo Regency. A number of representatives from the Inter-Community Communication Forum (FKA) and the Community Self-Reliance Agency (BKM) from 17 local villages participated in an activity entitled “Organic Waste Management and Vegetable Self-Sufficiency with Appropriate Technology”, today (9/10). MSR 2019 was opened by the Secretary of the Department of Technology Management, Dr. Ir. Mokh Suef M.Sc.(Eng), which was followed by remarks from the Head of Tanggulangin District, Didik Widoyoko S. Sos., MMT., who was also an alumni of MMT-ITS. He appreciated this MSR activity and also hopes that this activity can remain sustainably in the future in Tanggulangin.

MMT-ITS Lecturer, Reny Nadlifatin S.Kom., M.B.A., Ph.D. who became the speaker, delivered a number of waste management solutions and emphasized the importance of handling waste especially in terms of changing people’s behavior.  The discussion session was interesting,  which can be seen from the participation of citizens in asking a number of questions. The session was followed by a technical presentation based on experience on how to make compost using composter by Abu Amar.

In this event, MMT-ITS also donated composters, polybags, fertilizers, and vegetable seeds to 17 villages as a representative of FKA-BKM Tanggulangin District, Sidoarjo. MMT-ITS expected that participants can immediately using the composter, so that their household waste can be managed properly. Furthermore, it is also hoped that they can also start to grow their vegetable seeds to fulfill their daily needs. Hopefully this 2019 MSR can provide benefits for both parties. (aha/gwb)

MMT ITS kembali menggelar MMT-ITS Social Responsibility (MSR) 2019. Kegiatan ini berlangsung di kantor Kecamatan Tanggulangin Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Sejumlah perwakilan dari Forum Komunikasi Antar Warga (FKA) dan Badan Keswadayaan Masyarakat (BKM) dari 17 desa setempat menjadi peserta dalam kegiatan yang bertajuk "Pelatihan Manajemen Sampah Organik dan Swasembada Sayur dengan Teknologi Tepat Guna", hari ini (9/10). MSR 2019 dibuka oleh Sekretaris Departemen Manajemen Teknologi, Dr. Ir. Mokh Suef M.Sc (Eng), yang dilanjutkan dengan sambutan oleh Camat Tanggulangin, Didik Widoyoko S.Sos., MMT., yang juga alumni dari MMT-ITS. Beliau mengapresiasi diadakannya kegiatan ini oleh almamaternya. Ia juga berharap bahwa kegiatan ini dapat berjalan secara berkesinambungan di masa yang akan datang.
