ITS MKPI – On Monday, February 19 2024, the Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic (PENS) established an innovative collaboration with the ITS Mitigation and Innovative Policy Research Center (Puslit MKPI). The initiation of this collaboration is the first step to initiating a Virtual Reality (VR) project which will not only expand understanding of climate change in Indonesia but also pioneer a revolution in the world of learning.

This collaborative project is not just an ordinary partnership step. PENS, with the support of the ITS MKPI Research Center, carries out a major mission in Applied Research Assignments which will be funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud). The mission is “VR Applications for Increasing Environmental Awareness and Monitoring Water Quality and Carbon Emissions.”

In carrying out this ambitious project, PENS brought together the collaboration of the Jakarta State Polytechnic (PNJ), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and Sanspower. The combined expertise of these various institutions will create innovative solutions to face the increasingly complex challenges of climate change.
