The Medical Technology Study Program, officially approved by the ITS Academic Senate on June 9, 2022, is a multidisciplinary academic program. It fundamentally integrates knowledge from the fields of medicine, engineering, natural sciences, and design. In response to future healthcare challenges, the program aims to produce graduates who are capable of integrating scientific knowledge and technology to develop innovative solutions. These solutions are intended to support the advancement of medical devices, smart health technologies, and technology-based healthcare systems.

Furthermore, the Medical Technology Study Program offers education and research that emphasize emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), medical robotics, biotechnology, and wearable devices for disease detection and diagnosis. Through this multidisciplinary approach, students are equipped not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical skills necessary to meet the evolving demands of the medical and healthcare industries.

Graduates of this program are expected to take on professional roles as engineers, researchers, designers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and consultants in the field of medical technology. They are envisioned to play an active role in the development of technology-based medical solutions that address global healthcare needs. Additionally, graduates are expected to contribute to high-quality health product research and development and to support the digital transformation of healthcare systems in Indonesia and internationally.
