Surabaya, June 20, 2025 — The Quality Assurance Office (KPM) of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) welcomed a benchmarking visit from Universitas Terbuka (UT) on Wednesday (July 3), with a primary focus on ITS’s strategies and best practices in supporting national and international university rankings.
The delegation from Universitas Terbuka was received by the Head of the ITS Quality Assurance Office, Prof. Sri Gunani Partiwi, along with the ITS quality assurance team. This activity was part of UT’s initiative to enhance performance in key ranking indicators, including the QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education (THE).
During the presentation session, Prof. Sri Gunani shared how ITS tracks its internationalization achievements. She stated, “Ranking is not merely a goal, but the result of good governance, consistency, and data-driven management. Therefore, data integration and validity are essential,” she explained.
Dr. Vivi Indra Amelia, representing Universitas Terbuka, expressed her appreciation for ITS’s openness in sharing their experiences and the systems they have developed. Through this activity, it is hoped that the synergy between ITS and UT will continue to grow in the spirit of collaboration, in order to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesian higher education at the international level.
