Surabaya, May 5, 2025 — The Quality Assurance Office (KPM) of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) conducted a benchmarking visit to the Quality Assurance Board (BPM) of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) as part of its efforts to strengthen the management of non-academic quality assurance. This activity aimed to learn about best practices implemented by BPM UNAIR in maintaining and enhancing the quality of non-academic services within the university environment.

The visiting team from ITS consisted of Prof. Srigunani Partiwi, Prof. Siti Machmudah, Fitri Nuraini S., Adam Fahamzah, and Lintang Dewayani RG. They were warmly welcomed by the leadership of BPM UNAIR, including BPM Chair Prof. Nurul Barizah, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., BPM Secretary Prof. Helmy Yusuf, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., Coordinator of International Accreditation Ramadhan Hardani Putra, drg., M.Kes., Ph.D., and Coordinator of Audit and Measurement Suciati, S.Si., M.Phil., Ph.D.

During the productive meeting, both institutions exchanged information and experiences regarding non-academic quality assurance systems, including internal audit mechanisms, service performance measurement, and strategies for strengthening a culture of quality in non-academic sectors. BPM UNAIR presented their organizational structure, reporting systems, and the digitalization of quality processes they have implemented, which provided valuable insights for ITS to enhance similar systems within its own environment.

This visit is part of ITS’s strategic efforts to develop a holistic quality assurance system, not only focusing on academic aspects but also covering administrative services, student affairs, and other areas of governance. This collaboration is expected to be the starting point for broader cooperation between ITS and UNAIR in the field of quality assurance and university governance.
