Natural Produtcs and Chemical Synthesis

Bioactive chemicals, fragrance & flavors, and Energetic Materials

BIOACTIVE CHEMICALS

  1. Natural ingredients that are active and have the potential as anti-cancer, anti-diabetic and anti-malarial agents of the genus Clusiaceae
  2. Correlation data on the structure and bioactivity of natural material compounds
  3. Synthesis of derivatives and analogues of active and potential natural ingredients
  4. Nitroaromatic compounds are found as natural materials which among others are found in mangrove plants. The study succeeded in synthesizing 2 itoaromatic compounds, 1 was studied for its activity in inhibiting the growth of Candida albicans, Fusarium graminearum, Aspergillus niger
  5. The study succeeded in synthesizing trisindolina natural compounds and 25 derivatives. As lead compound, trisindolina shows activity as antibiotics and anti-cancer. The bioactivity test shows that:
  6. a) 5 trisindolina derivatives were tested and showed antibiotic activity against E. coli (gram negative) and S. aureus (gram positive), b) 13 trisindolina derivatives were tested and cytotoxic against cervical and colon cancer cells, c) 4 were tested and inhibited the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv and isolates of pulmonary tuberculosis patients Px 1 and Px 2
  7. Computational study of Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR) and molecular docking to obtain the optimal structure of trisindolina derivatives as anti-cancer
  8. Synthesis, in vitro testing and in vivo compounds from computational studies

FRAGRANCE (PEWANGI) AND FLAVOR (PERISA)

  1. Synthesis of homonuclear, heteronuclear polymer complexes and metalorganic framework with various structures, and the results of cytotoxicity tests on cancer cells
  2. Essential oil exploration 18 species of family Myrtaceae
  3. Utilization of clove leaf waste for the manufacture of clove leaf oil. The separation and purification of eugenol from clove leaf oil, and its transformation into fragrans / flavor: vanillin, vanillil alcohol, Isobutavan® and its 3 analogues, 2 Isobutavan® derivatives, and their sensor data
  4. Separation of safrol from commercial mace oil, and its transformation into fragrans / flavor: isosafrol, heliotropin®, piperonil alcohol, 7 piperonyl esters, and sensor data
  5. Synthesis of new Isobutavan® derivatives along with their sensor data
  6. The transformation of heliotropin® into analogous commercial fragrans compounds of Methyl diantilis® as well as sensory data
  7. The transformation of heliotropin® into analog compounds fragrans oxymes and ether oxymes ester groups along with their sensor data
  8. Optimization of fragrans synthesis and flavor using new catalysts
