Surabaya, IT Journalistic — Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) once again held its annual international program, the Community and Technological (CommTECH) Camp 2026, which took place offline on Monday, February 9, 2026, in Room 702, Tower 2 ITS. This activity was part of an international campus tour attended by approximately 30 participants from various countries, including India, the Philippines, Russia, Taiwan, and others.
The event aimed to introduce the academic environment, laboratory facilities, and research and technology development activities within the Department of Information Technology (DTI) ITS. Through a direct and interactive approach, participants were invited to understand the research-based education system implemented at DTI ITS.

During the main session, participants were introduced to various laboratories and research centers at DTI ITS. Arya Bisma Putra Refman presented the tools, systems, and technological products developed within the laboratory. This explanation provided participants with concrete insights into how technological research contributes to addressing both local and global challenges.
The atmosphere of the CommTECH Camp 2026 presentation session showed international participants, participant mentors, and DTI lecturers attentively following presentations on research and publications.
In addition, participants had the opportunity to gain deeper insights into undergraduate final-year research conducted by DTI ITS students. Sighra Attariq Sumere Jati and Mutiara Nurhaliza delivered a technical presentation on Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Final Projects. They explained the scope of their research topics, the approaches used, and the expected outcomes of their work.

Through this activity, participants not only gained academic insights but also had the opportunity to engage in direct discussions with DTI ITS students and lecturers. This served as an effective platform for building global networks while strengthening ITS’s position as a research- and innovation-oriented educational institution.
DTI ITS’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, was reaffirmed through the organization of international programs such as CommTECH Camp. By fostering cross-country collaboration, DTI ITS not only produces competent graduates but also actively contributes to driving sustainable innovation with broad impact.
