In an effort to improve domestic defense technology and provide understanding to the general public, the Research Center for Internet of Things and Defense Technology (IOTTP) collaborates with the ITS Research Center for Fundamental Science DRPM and PT. Dahana (Persero) has held a webinar entitled Explosive and Propellant Technology, as Application of Fundamental Science. This event was held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, with the audience which is the ITS academic community including lecturers and students as well as the general public.

The event was opened with remarks by Deputy Chancellor 4 Mr. Bambang Pramujati ST MSc Eng PhD who delivered his remarks as well as opened the event which was held through this zoom meeting. Furthermore, the event was guided by the moderator, Mrs. Widyastuti as the Deputy Head of Research Center. The first speaker, namely by Mr. Ir. Suhendra Yusuf R.P.N, M.I. Kom., C. NSP. as Director of Technology and Development of PT DAHANA where in his presentation he focused on the Needs, Potential, Technology, Challenges and Development of Indonesian explosives and propellants, especially on PT Dahana itself.

The second material was carried out by the last speaker, namely the ITS Professor of Chemistry, Prof. Hamzah Fansuri, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. in which the topics raised are the potential of science, technology and resources for the development of explosive and propellant technology in Indonesia. y high enthusiasm from the participants led by a moderator.

Through this event, IOTTP hopes to provide general insight into explosive and propellant technology, especially for the ITS Academic Community and the general public. And can develop explosive and propellant technology based on basic science/Fundamental Science such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Materials Engineering.
